From serving as Student Council President to leading the Clark Consulting Group and now excelling as a Senior Programmatic Specialist with Coegi, Mukesh’s journey is a testament to hope, resilience, and dedication. A true marketer at heart, he blends strategic thinking, adaptability, creativity, and a relentless drive to push boundaries.

How did your time at Clark University shape and prepare you for your career?
My time at Clark was beyond books—leading multiple organizations, working at the Small Business Development Center, and stepping into high-impact leadership roles gave me a unique edge. But the real game-changer? Networking. Clark constantly pushed me to connect with alumni and professionals. Many students underestimate this, but trust me, relationships open doors that resumes can’t.
Can you share your journey from Clark University to becoming a Senior Programmatic Specialist at Coegi?
Clark gave me the perfect mix of courses—from digital marketing to branding to visual analytics, every course shaped my skill set. But beyond academics, I stayed ahead of industry trends. That made all the difference. Marketing evolves quickly, and staying updated & adaptable is the key to thriving in this field.

Advice for Current & Future Students
What advice would you give to students who are looking to break into the marketing industry?
Students looking to break into marketing, build your skills early. College is your sandbox: experiment, learn, and gain hands-on experience through internships, projects, and certifications.
Networking is key, too. A connection referred me to Coegi, that’s how I got in. Attend events, engage with alumni, and reach out on LinkedIn. One conversation can open unexpected doors.
I vividly remember my first semester, eagerly searching for a job, applying even before landing in the U.S. But reality hit hard—hundreds of talented applicants, all competing for the same roles. What made me stand out? I showed up. I attended every event, met new people, adapted to new cultures, and embraced the unknown. For every international student out there:
- Don’t rush – adapt first.
- Network with intention.
- Engage with your Advisors. (Shoutout to Laura—one of the best!)
- Consistency beats talent – keep showing up, and results will follow.
What’s one piece of advice you wish you had received while you were at Clark?
If there’s one piece of advice I wish I’d received earlier, it’s the art of work-life balance. Early in my career, I focused solely on work, neglecting other aspects of life. Now, with a mentor to guide me, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about working hard—it’s about working smart and sustaining energy for the long run.
