School of Business Launches Video Podcast

"For Profit & For Good" to focus on the intersection of business and society

This month, the Clark University School of Business (CUSB) launched the first episode of its “For Profit & For Good” video podcast. The school also shared its new YouTube Channel, where the current episode and future videocasts will reside.

The videocast’s first guest, Clark University President Dr. David Fithian, discussed the value of a business school education within a traditional liberal arts research institution. CUSB Dean Dr. David Jordan, host of the videocast, felt the topic was a compelling kick-off for the first video.

“I encourage everyone to watch and hear the latest about this timely topic as it relates to our University – and those around the world – and the continued positive impact that both business schools and liberal arts institutions have on our shared communities,” he noted.

The videocast was made in partnership with the Clark University Becker School of Design and Technology. The design school houses the video set, filming equipment, and editing software to create a first-class production. While the first episode was made with the assistance of a professional videographer, CUSB’s goal is to hand over production of the videocast to b-school students who have an interest in filming, marketing, and social media.

Going forward, CUSB plans to share this bi-monthly video podcast series on YouTube for national and international access by prospective students, alumni, and scholars interested in the union of business and society. Future video podcasts will discuss a variety of relevant topics which intersect with business and pressing social issues, including the adoption of AI technologies, business and its role in addressing climate change, entrepreneurial basics for students interested in starting a small business, the Sustainable Development Goals and Business, and more.

CUSB welcomes suggestions on guests, topics, and ways it can enhance the production of its videocast. Ideas can be sent to B-school_Dean@clarku.edu.
