Student spotlight“The MFA program allowed me the time and freedom to fully explore my creativity. I enjoyed the flexible class schedule because I worked toward my degree and developed my passion project while still having a full-time job. I also loved the access to labs and new technology on campus. The faculty are great; they are really invested in the success of the students.

Student Work
The master of fine arts in interactive media curriculum requires 15 one-unit courses. Our flexible curriculum ensures that the main focus is on your project. All MFA students are required to complete a project of their own design in each year of study that will be published or exhibited prior to graduation.
Through interdisciplinary courses, seminars, and studio work, you have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, writings, readings, oral presentations, guided research, and other academic activities related to your studio concentration. In your second year (8-plus units), you can run your own studio of undergraduate students while earning valuable leadership and communication skills, and project management experience.
15 Total Course Units – a combination of Graduate Seminar, Studio Development, Praxis, and Thesis, will provide students the breadth and depth of knowledge needed to create new and innovative projects.
For game students, internship and career opportunities are ever-expanding. Strong consumer demand for video games and other interactive media in most sectors creates robust career opportunities not only in what is traditionally referred to as game design, but also in the related areas of data translation and user experience.
