Access and Accommodations
Clark University and I are dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments for all students and welcomes students with disabilities into all of the University’s educational programs. The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) assists students with disabilities in reducing campus-wide and classroom-related barriers. If you have or think you have a disability and experience academic barriers, please contact the Office of SAS to discuss appropriate accommodations or support. You can contact SAS at 1-508-798-4368 or via email at accessibilityservices@clarku.edu
Sample 2
Your experience in this class is important to me. If you have already established accommodations with the Office of Student Accessibility Services please communicate your approved accommodations to me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss your needs in this course.
If you have or suspect you have a disability but have not yet established services through the Office of Student Accessibility Services, you can see the relevant website for information about the registration process.
SAS provides resources and coordinates reasonable accommodations for students. Reasonable accommodations are established through an interactive process between you, your instructor(s) and the relevant office. It is the policy and practice o Clark University to create inclusive and accessible learning environments consistent with federal and state law. ()
Making an Announcement in Class
Please consider reading this statement or discussing it in class at the beginning of each semester. This can further normalize the accommodations process and encourage students to feel comfortable approaching you.
