The associate provost and dean of research works closely with faculty to promote and encourage research, secure funding, and build outside partnerships. Clark’s faculty and students engage in research that significantly benefits communities, environments, and the world.
The dean has broad responsibility to promote research opportunities for faculty and students. In collaboration with the university’s Research Board, academic departments, and the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research, the dean implements policies and procedures for external grants, contracts, and fellowship applications, as well as the work of the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
