In our individualized program, you will take in-person, graduate degree level classes while also taking advanced English courses. From day one, you will be exposed to engaging coursework in both your field of study and in English. Our dedicated faculty are here to work with you to ensure that you acquire necessary knowledge in grammar, vocabulary, critical-thinking skills, and American culture.
Over the course of the program, you will become adept at using the English language to articulate your ideas, but more importantly, you will develop international networking and cross-cultural communication skills while you build a solid foundation for academic and professional success.

Graduate Pathway Program Admission Requirements
- Applicants must meet the academic admission requirements to their chosen master’s program.
- English requirements for GPP: TOEFL 75, IELTS 6.0, ELS 110, Duolingo 95 – 120, and EC English B2 Upper-Intermediate Level. (This will be reviewed holistically and will take into consideration writing and speaking skills before a final decision is made).
Graduate Program Admission Requirements
You will be eligible to enroll in your graduate degree program after one semester and upon achieving:
- B or better in your content courses
- 75 average in coursework in your academic English classes
Alternatively, completing EAS level 5 the summer before your fall semester would allow for regular matriculation into Clark University.
As a student in the Graduate Pathway Program, you will have many opportunities to explore the culture of the United States. These excursions provide you with opportunities to practice your English and to connect with other students studying in the American Language and Culture Institute, as well network with professors and classmates in your future degree programs. While we pride ourselves on our academics at Clark, we also value the learning that takes place outside of the classroom, and encourage our students to take advantage of the activities and excursions hosted in the Worcester area and beyond.
