Moshi Alam

Assistant Professor, Economics

Moshi Alam is a labor economist who examines the economics of discrimination and inequality, as well as policies that address these issues. His current research focuses on assessing equity based labor market policies, optimal redistribution of resources across different locations, and improving the design of school-choice mechanisms to enhance welfare. He earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds a master’s from the Indian Statistical Institute and bachelor’s from Jadavpur University, India.
