Alan Eisner received his Ph.D. from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He has a B.S. in operations research and industrial engineering and a M.Eng. in engineering management, both from Cornell University.
Eisner has published more than 30 articles in leading journals including the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Advances in Strategic Management, International Journal of Technology Management, American Business Review, Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management, The Case Journal, Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies, and the Global Journal of Business Pedagogy.
The 11th edition of “Strategic Management,” a textbook he co-authored with Gregory Dess, Gerry McNamara, and Steve Sauerwald will be published by McGraw-Hill in early 2023. His teaching interests include strategy, entrepreneurship, and organization theory.
