Abdullah Asilkalkan's research encompasses a range of areas including business analytics, healthcare analytics, as well as the applications of model-based clustering and hidden Markov models. His research in healthcare analytics centers around the utilization of AI and machine learning algorithms to facilitate the decision-making process of healthcare providers by creating patient-specific risk categories and developing decision support system tools. Abdullah's research has earned recognition in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Annals of Operations Research, and Advances in Data Analysis and Classification, among others. He holds both a Master's and Doctorate degree in Applied Statistics, both of which he earned from the Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science at the University of Alabama. In addition, he is a dedicated member of professional organizations including INFORMS, the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and the American Statistical Association (ASA).
