The Integration and Belonging Hub’s webinar series, Belonging Talks, is pleased to present Brianne Casey, M.A. ’12, who is the community sponsorship technical assistance resource and learning manager at the Refugee Welcome Collaborative.
Community Engagement in Refugee Resettlement: Resources and Knowledge in the Field
With a career spanning local, state, and national levels, Brianne Casey has had a front-row view of receiving communities and refugees working together to create stronger, more vibrant communities. First working as a volunteer coordinator and sponsorship developer in Raleigh, N.C., she later served as a national community and ecumenical engagement coordinator for CWS in New York City.
Before joining the Refugee Welcome Collective, Casey worked as a consultant for national resettlement agencies and state offices, and also sponsored newcomers. She holds a bachelor’s in ESL education from James Madison University and a master’s in community development and planning from Clark.
