Daniel Scheer, ’05, is Director of Machine Learning at Stash, a personal finance app that can make investing easy and affordable for millions of Americans – from budgeting paychecks to saving for retirement.
Since launching in 2015, over 5 million people have joined Stash.
As a data scientist, Daniel works with data to extract user-friendly information, applying the rules of statistics and probability. He writes computer code that weaves together different datasets and then accesses, cleans, and processes the raw data in order to reveal the value within.
Daniel will offer a
discussion of the field and offer insights into breaking into the work.
