“Creating Practitioners for the Blackstone Watershed: Bridging Academia to Community Partnerships for Climate Resilience” will be a highly interactive roundtable discussion facilitated by Stefanie Covino, Program Manager for the Blackstone Watershed Collaborative, based at the Marsh Institute. Topics will include:

  • The top community goals for improving climate resilience and water quality in the Blackstone Watershed
  • How to collaborate with other researchers and connect with community benefits
  • Diverse project topics, including ecological resilience, hydrology, equitable recreational access, supporting nature-based solutions, improving local zoning, or supporting indigenous voices

Light refreshments will be provided.

Faculty, students, and staff interested in community engagement around environmental topics (particularly in the Blackstone Watershed) are strongly encouraged to attend; masks are optional.
