- This event has ended.
This event is a concept created by The Jordan Porco Foundation and designed to bring the whole campus community together to “check-in” on the mental health and wellness of college students. The event is free to our Clark community and has been organized and sponsored by Wellness Education and CPG. The planning and running of this event couldn’t be possible without collaboration from various other campus departments at Clark, a large number of passionate student volunteers, and representatives of The Jordan Porco Foundation.
Atwood Plaza will be transformed into an expo-like, lively, social atmosphere to bring together interactive and educational booths combined with food, music, prizes, and giveaways for those who participate! The booths feature peer-to peer messaging in a positive, community-focused setting that reflect a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention with topics areas including specific mental health issues, high risk populations, stigma reduction, positive coping and life skills, and more. By engaging the entire college community in this campus-wide movement, students are reminded that they are not alone and that their mental health is valued just as much as their physical health or their academic standing.
