The Office of Diversity and Inclusion invites the Clark community — and our Worcester neighbors — to come together this Thursday, August 31, at the Dolan Field House to create a Soul Train Line, a conveyor belt of movement and good times. This event will not only welcome students, staff, and faculty back to campus but also help us create a strong link to our Main South neighborhood!
The Soul Train Line comes from the popular weekly television show “Soul Train,” which aired from the 1970s through the early 2000s. The show featured Black musicians and, most notably, dancers who captivated audiences as they made their way down the Soul Train Line. What began as a way to end the show evolved into an essential part of Black cultural celebrations, bringing people of all ages and abilities center stage.
Read some Soul Train Line Dos and Don’ts, and register to participate by August 29.
