Amalia Mendes, M.S., Geographic Information Science ’19, is a GIS Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Currently, she is employing geospatial technologies to advance polio eradication efforts in Somalia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
“Clark played an indispensable role in shaping my career trajectory,” Mendes says.
“The faculty members were exceptional. Despite the absence of a dedicated course in spatial health, the faculty readily incorporated this area of interest into every aspect of my education. Their willingness to accommodate my aspirations was truly remarkable.”
“I am confident that no other institution would have provided me with such a personalized and comprehensive educational experience.”
