Dive into the fascinating world of psychology with our immersive one-week summer program! Explore various fields like clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology. Learn from expert faculty through interactive talks and discussions with leading researchers. Engage in hands-on research projects and showcase your findings at the Clark Research Festival. Set the stage for your future in psychology with this unique blend of academic learning and practical experience!

No previous psychology education or background required. Lunch is provided.

Cost: $1,500 (non-refundable) – inclusive of programming and meals

Create an independent research project and have the opportunity present at Clark’s Research Festival in the Fall.

Prepare for College

This academy will give students a glimpse of what it’s like to be a college student. A Personal Statement Writing workshop will teach students how to discuss their summer program experiences in their college application materials. Students will also receive a personal letter of evaluation from a Clark faculty member.

Nancy Budwig

Nancy Budwig

Professor, Psychology

Dr. Budwig received a B.A. from Vassar College in 1979 and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1986. She has been at Clark since that time, currently as Professor of Psychology.

Alena Esposito

Associate Professor, Psychology

Dr. Esposito earned her B.I.D. in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University, College of Design. Her program of study focused on educational material design.

Abbie Goldberg

Professor, Psychology

Dr. Goldberg received a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1999, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts in 2001 and 2005, respectively. She has been at Clark since 2005.

Ana Kamille Marcelo

Associate Professor, Psychology

Dr. Marcelo earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology/law and society in 2009 and her doctorate in developmental psychology in 2016 from the University of California, Riverside. She has been at Clark since 2016.

Kathleen Palm Reed is the Director of Clinical Training and Associate Professor at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Andrew Stewart

Associate Professor, Psychology

Andrew L. Stewart received his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut and B.S. degrees in Psychology and Mathematics from Colorado State University. He has been at Clark since 2014.
