Combine your love of learning with a degree in education, and empower the next generation.
Interested in teaching or another career in the field of education? No matter what your major, you can combine it with a degree in education: either a major or minor in community, youth, and education studies or a minor in education. If qualified, you also may apply for Clark’s Accelerated B.A./Master of Arts in Teaching, with your fifth year of study tuition-free.
Major or Minor in Community, Youth, and Education Studies
In the community, youth, and education studies (CYES) program, you’ll explore how school and community programs can transform current inequities by engaging young people and their families, and help change their social reality through educational spaces and youth programs.
Minor in Education
Whether you’re interested in learning about education for its own sake, or are considering teaching as a career, our education minor helps you explore this challenge through a focus on urban school reform. Optional sequences focus on human services and school psychology.
Accelerated B.A./Master of Arts in Teaching
Qualified Clark undergraduates can undertake an accelerated B.A./MAT with the fifth year of study tuition-free. This intensive, full-year master’s program is designed for students interested in elementary, middle, or high school teaching in urban settings.
