Bio: My name is Tim Ali. I am a graduate student at Clark University. I am a 6th year PhD student in the Economics department. I have been an Adjunct Instructor of Economics for 2 semesters at Clark University. Over the last 5 years I have been working as a Teaching Assistant in every semester which has allowed me to polish my skills as an economics instructor. I have also worked as a Research Assistant with different professors working on different projects over the last 5 years. My areas of interest in economic research lie in public policy, growth economics and sports economics. In the coming future I would like to teach economics at a college or a university.

: Sadia Mansoor is an applied microeconomist and Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Clark University. Her job market paper integrates historical data and contemporary georeferencing techniques to analyze the economic impact of horses on Indigenous societies in North America from 1500 CE to 1900 CE, providing an empirical assessment of how equine technology influenced productivity, well-being, and regional power dynamics among Native American nations. Broadly, Sadia’s research spans optimal policy design, the long-term impacts of public policies, technology and innovation, institutional quality, and sustainable development. She examines equilibrium outcomes in contexts where public programs and policies drive economic trajectories and community welfare. In addition to her research, Sadia has a keen interest in teaching microeconomic theory, applied econometrics, public economics, and urban economics.

Bio
: Zeyi is a PhD candidate in Economics at Clark University. His research interests are in urban economics and international trade, focusing on the determinants of the spatial distribution of economic activities in China. Specifically, he examines sectoral growth patterns across Chinese provinces over the past two decades, shaped by trade liberalization, infrastructure development, productivity growth, and relaxed mobility restrictions. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Ocean University and master’s degrees from Shanghai University and Clark. In 2024, he received the Best Graduate Poster Award from Clark’s Economics Department.
