Are you fascinated by how life works at the cellular or molecular level? Are you interested in emerging research and technologies that improve human health or expand our understanding of evolution?
As a biochemistry and molecular biology major, you’ll study science at the intersection of biology and chemistry. You’ll get the chance to explore these fields in the classroom, pursue research questions, and develop the skills needed for successful careers or graduate studies in health sciences, biotechnology, or basic/applied research.
Major or Minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
As a biochemistry and molecular biology (BCMB) major, your coursework will include foundations in chemistry, genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry, with increased opportunity to specialize in the areas that interest you most.
Accelerated B.A./M.S. degree in Department
Our Accelerated B.A./M.S. Program allows you to further develop your skills as a scientist. As early as your junior year, you can join a research team and continue the project into your fifth year of study.
