Rufai Omowunmi Balogun

Rufai Balogun is a PhD student at the Graduate School of Geography, Clark University. He holds a Joint Master’s Degree in Copernicus master’s in digital Earth (with a specialization in Geodata Science) from the University of Salzburg and the University of South Brittany, France. He was previously an Earth Observation Data Science researcher at the Institute for Earth Observation, European Research Academy (EURAC) Bozen where he worked on the Alpine Drought Observatory, the ESA MOOC Cubes and Clouds (Cloud-native open data science for earth observation) and supported other data management efforts within the InterTwin project. Prior to this, he also worked at the Christian Doppler’s Laboratory for Geospatial and EO-based Humanitarian technologies and Space4Good supporting analyses in public health monitoring and forest inventory.

Earth Observation, Machine Learning, Hydrometeorological hazards and Humanitarian Emergencies
