Denys Godwin

Denys Godwin

Denys Godwin is a Clark University graduate student in the Master’s in Geographic Information Science (GIS) program. His research work includes comparing the performance of deep learning models on filling cloud gaps in time series of satellite images and using aerial imagery to map and evaluate the impact of solar panel development in New England.

Denys received his Bachelor’s in International Political Economics from Beloit College in 2016 and has volunteered for and collaborated with organizations such as City Year and the Center for Neighborhood Technology.

His research interests include:

  • Mapping renewable energy development and its relationship to land use change
  • Geospatial Foundational AI Models
  • Urban land use change and transit-oriented development
