TerrSet liberaGIS: A Pioneering Milestone in the Legacy of Geospatial Innovation

December 2 marks an important date as Clark University’s Center for Geospatial Analytics releases TerrSet liberaGIS, the newest version of its geospatial software. In line with efforts to make advanced geospatial tools accessible to all users, TerrSet liberaGIS is now available as a free, open-access platform. 

The release of TerrSet liberaGIS represents a significant step forward for the geospatial community and the realization of a 37 yearlong dream. Providing free and open-access tools broadens opportunities for global research and practical applications in areas such as conservation, land change modeling, and climate adaptation.
