The Undergraduate Fellows program provides support in the form of mentorship and research assistantships for undergraduate students working on faculty-led research, public service and/or creative work directly related to one or more of the Center’s core research areas (including but not limited to race/racism, gender and sexuality, conflict, borders, and nationalisms, and/or the intersections of these areas of study).

Through the Undergraduate Fellows program, students work one-on-one with faculty to develop practical skills. This program provides a vital opportunity for students to participate in advancing social justice research with real-world impact.

Applications will be due in the spring. You will be asked to include a one-page research proposal. We suggest writing this in a separate app. You will also submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who can speak to your research strengths. We suggest asking that person well in advance.
