These programs are designed to serve faculty and PhD students, are created in response to faculty-identified needs, and are guided by the CETAL Steering Committee. The CETAL website also serves as a resource for information related to pedagogy and the learning sciences.
Mission
The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Assessment and Learning’s (CETAL) mission is to provide opportunities and resources that support, strengthen and recognize excellent and innovative teaching by faculty and graduate students.
Shared Values
We believe that despite different disciplines, research agendas, and departmental or administrative concerns, the art of teaching unites us.
Recognizing the importance of student learning requires that we, both individually and collectively, need to continually refine our pedagogies as we work to enhance student success.
CETAL encourages faculty to participate in disciplinary and national conversations about teaching, student learning, and professional development that facilitates the exchange of ideas and expertise about teaching and learning.
