"Of The Month Awards"

Want to recognize something you think is awesome! Here is some information on the NRHH Of the Month Awards. If you want a form to fill out, or have questions about NRHH or OTMs, contact rha@clarku.edu.

“Of The Month Awards” are administered through NEACURH by way of the National Residence Hall Honorary. The 'Of the Month' process recognizes outstanding contributions to College and University Residence Halls in the following categories: Advisor, Community, Executive Board Member, NCC, NRHH Chapter, Social Program, Educational Program, Community Service Program, Residential Assistant, Spotlight, and Student. Any school affiliated with NACURH is eligible to make or receive an 'Of the Month' award and/or nomination. The OTM must me month specific, meaning the nomination should only focus on the month for which it is written. The OTM awards available are:

Check your grammar
Use specific, concrete examples (tell us what happened, not that they did a great job)
Get to the point (not too much fluff)
Originality and Creativity help
Make the OTM stand out
For programs, show the effectiveness of the program
Prove that your OTM fits into the category you put it in
Be Month Specific: one made someone stand out for this month.
Don’t waste words
Don’t forget to say what is normal for the position and how the person went above and beyond their normal duties
