Academic Catalog and Faculty Biography Pages
The online Academic Catalog is a "home grown" system that requires separate user permissions from typical web publishing capabilities. Course information is stored in the catalog and appears in the pages of academic departments as well as the catalog itself. Faculty biography content is also included in the academic catalog system.
Getting Permissions
Access to this resource is approved by the respective academic departments who "own" the faculty bio record or departmental course content in question. The ITS web development group works closely with web manager and publishing director in University Communications to ensure that system access and workflow is appropriate with respect to the catalog publishing cycle. If you, as the Web Content Manager, are also the person who edits the catalog, then you already have permission to edit the faculty bios using that same application. If you need to edit content in the Academic Catalog or faculty bios but someone else edits the catalog for your department, please contact us to request the appropriate permissions and get information about accessing the online application.
