Returning to University Housing
Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the housing requirements?
Please be reminded that students with first year and sophomore status are
required by the University to live on campus unless commuting from home (home
must be within 25 miles or 30 minutes from Clark and you must be living with
your parents/guardians ONLY). All Clark Students must complete four semesters in
campus housing. If you are interested in
appealing the housing
requirements, please contact the RLH Office at (508) 793-7453 for more
information.
How do I get on-campus housing after my leave from Clark?
If you wish to apply for University housing for the Spring 2010 Semester,
you will need to do the following:
- Complete the Returning to Housing Request Form PDF Version
- Sign and return your copy of the Housing Contract
PDF Version
- Mail or fax these correspondence to RLH (see address below) by December
14, 2009
RLH Office
950 Main Street
Worcester, MA 01610
Phone: 508.793.7453
Fax: 508.421.3787
What if I want to live with someone already in campus housing?
If you should know someone with a current vacancy or an anticipated vacancy for
the Spring 2010 semester, please indicate your interest in living with them on
your housing registration form. We encourage you to inform any person with whom
you would like to live that from late November through Monday, December
7, 2009 the RLH Office will be holding "Pull-In Days". These days provide the
opportunity for a student currently living in Clark housing to pull you into
their confirmed vacant space. The current on-campus student must come to RLH to
request you as their new roommate. (Singles and entirely open doubles do not
apply during “Pull-in Days” unless they
are within a suite or apartment). Note that as a student returning from a
leave, you DO NOT have to complete the Pull-In Days Double Room Request
Form.
How are assignments made over the winter break?
You will be assigned to a space in University housing only after we receive the
registration form and the signed housing contract. Please
be aware that the signed housing contract you submit is a binding commitment for
University Housing for the Spring 2010 Semester. Once the RLH Office has all of
the housing paperwork, assignments will be made based on the information you
provide us on the housing form. Please indicate more than one choice on the
registration form, as available spaces may be limited. We cannot guarantee the
availability of single or double-buy out rooms. You will receive information about your housing
assignment via email by Wednesday, January 13, 2010 to your Clark University email
account.
When can I move in to University Housing in the Spring semester?
The residence halls/houses open at 9:00AM on Sunday, January 17, 2010. If you
have any questions please feel free to contact Kevin Forti, Director of RLH
at 508.793.7453 or via email.
