Free Software

Clark offers Office 365 for free to current Clarkies. With this license, you can install the most common Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) on up to five personal Windows or Mac devices.

Clark University offers a full Adobe Creative Cloud license to active Faculty and Staff.

Students can use Adobe products on Clark public computers on campus, starting in Fall 2023.

Clark offers a free license for Sophos Home to protect your devices both on campus and off. Click here for more information about Sophos. 

Clark offers all Clarkies 5TB of cloud storage via Microsoft OneDrive. Click here from more information on OneDrive.

Clark has a limited license for ESRI (ArcGIS Pro and ArcMaps) and ClarkLabs (Terrset) products.

Faculty, staff and students who have an academic need for this software (teaching or enrolled in a GIS class, or involved in Clark-affiliated GIS research) are eligible to install this software on their personal devices.

GIS software is available across campus on Clark-provided devices.

All active members of the Clark community have access to LinkedIn Learning – an on-demand learning platform designed to help you gain new skills. Click here for more information on LinkedIn Learning.

Clark uses Instructure Canvas as our Learning Management System. This is enhanced with Turnitin, Panopto, Zoom and other academic software. Click here for more information on Canvas.

Clarkies can install MatLab and/or Simulink on personal devices by registering here with your Clark email address.

All Clarkies have fully-licensed accounts (previously called Pro accounts), which allow meetings for up to 24 hours, with up to 300 participants. Click here for more information on Zoom.

All Clarkies have access to a Teams account with their Clark account. Microsoft Teams not only allows online meetings, but is a powerful communication and teamwork tool that allows Clarkies to keep working and learning regardless of where they are on campus or around the world. Teams is the perfect tool for regular, small team or person-to-person collaboration and meetings. Click here for more information on Teams.

NVIVO is available for installation on personal devices on a very limited basis for faculty, staff and students with an academic need for this software.

NVIVO is available across campus on Clark-provided devices.

EndNote is a reference manager that helps you save time formatting citations, so you can focus on your research. Click here to download EndNote. Please note that a Clark login is required to download this software.

SPSS is available for installation on personal devices on a very limited basis for faculty, staff and students with an academic need for this software.

SPSS is available across campus on Clark-provided devices.

Clark University is happy to provide its community members with two different tools to create online surveys and forms: Qualtrics and Microsoft Forms. Click here for more information on these two powerful software. 

Panopto is Clark’s online streaming service that allows community members to create, share and view streaming video content. Click here to learn more about Panopto.

Clark University uses GlobalProtect as our Virtual Private Network client. Global Protect is available for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile devices and is required to connect to protected Clark resources when off-campus.

Please note that GlobalProtect is not a consumer-grade VPN and only Clark resources are served across this private network. This VPN will not allow you to bypass country-based restrictions.
