Welcome to the American Language and Culture Institute

Clark University’s American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI) offers programs and workshops designed to help our students meet their English language learning goals. Both in and outside the classroom, students in our programs are taught the English skills they need to succeed in their academic, professional, and personal life. Whether succeeding in an American college or university, holding a conversation, or bettering professional language, we strive to ensure improvement in English proficiency.

With the ultimate aim of being able to succeed in academia independently, Clark University’s American Language and Culture Institute’s mission is to help students improve their English and enrich their global perspectives through classroom instruction, authentic practice, extra and co-curricular support, and community engagement.
