Academic Departments & Programs

You can choose among 31 majors, 30 minors and 10 interdisciplinary concentrations in a wide range of academic areas and can also take advantage of Clark's Accelerated B.A./Master's Degree Program, with the fifth year of study free to qualified students. If you have questions, you can e-mail a professor from that department. Since Clark is part of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium (COWC) , you may also take one course per semester at any of the 12 other COWC schools after your first-year. The credit will count towards your Clark degree.

Cutting-Edge Facilities

  • Lasry Center for Bioscience. Clark's state-of-the-art environmentally friendly Lasry Center for Bioscience is just one example of the academic facilities available to you. The Lasry Center houses research laboratories, flexible teaching laboratories to accommodate a variety of instructional approaches, laboratory support to allow significant shared equipment, classroom and seminar rooms with state-of-the-art technology and faculty offices near the laboratories.
  • Sackler Sciences Center. Clark's newly renovated Sciences Center houses the math, computer science and physics departments, laboratories, classrooms and the science library.
  • Traina Center for the Arts. The Traina Center is home to Clark's Department of Visual and Performing Arts and contains an arts library and resource center, art studios, a student gallery, high-tech classrooms and a multimedia arts center.
  • Academic Commons at Goddard Library. Clark is currently renovating its main library and turning it into the Academic Commons at Goddard Library. This academic center will reshape the Goddard Library into a state-of-the-art facility for research, teaching and learning by combining flexible group study spaces, technology-rich workstations, late-night study facilities, and a cafĂ©.
