Agnes Mwenda (IDSC '2013)

Agnes Mwenda (Kenya) received a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya in 2007. Her work experience revolves around the youth, with whom she has worked as a teacher in business-related subjects and in various youth development programs such as Youth Alive and History Makers. In the Youth Alive experience, she took part in the implementation of a behavior change program which targets high school students who are engaged in undesirable behavior such as substance abuse. Through History Makers, she received training that enabled her to become a trainer of trainers, after which she became involved with a faith-based organization that focused on the areas of youth mentorship and leadership. Her interests include youth development, community economic development, capacity building and advocacy.
