Tyrone Hall (IDSC '2011)

Tyrone Hall (Jamaica) received his B.A. in media and communication from the University of the West Indies-Mona Campus. Hall has interned with the Caribbean Media Corporation in Barbados, The Planning Institute of Jamaica and produced two documentaries on development issues. The first is titled “The Struggle” and reflects on self-mutilation among teenagers in the Caribbean. His second production is "Pickney Ducktah: An examination of the lives of children working in Jamaica’s transportation industry." His research interests are media and development, social entrepreneurship, microfinance and child labor. Hall enjoys debating and has participated in three world universities debating championships (Canada (2007), Thailand (2008), and Ireland (2009)). He is the highest ranked debater from Latin America and the Caribbean this year and has experience in both British Parliamentary and Presidential debating.
