Rommel Dascil (IDSC '2011)

Rommel Dascil (Philippines) is a Fulbrighter and on his second academic fellowship in the U.S. Back home, he teaches philosophy and social science courses at the Mariano Marcos State University, and engages in various social justice and peace initiatives with the Commission on Social Action, Commission on Human Rights, National Citizens Movement for Free Elections/Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting, and Sustainable Agriculture Network. He plans to continue his pursuit of his professional and personal passion for genuine and sustainable social change through the academe and its research and extension programs, non-profit and civic organizations, and with peasant and indigenous communities. Rommel is a proud member of the Ibanag indigenous people.
